The following scholarships are currently available for consideration by Rye Neck High School students.  See below for more information about each of them or see the Scholarship Bulletin Board outside the Counseling Services Department offices.  Please see Mrs. Kane in the Counseling Services Department for applications or if you have any questions.

4 Harrison Mamaroneck Rotary Club Student of the Year Scholarship   Seniors who live in the Rye Neck School District (and Harrison) who exemplify the Rotary International motto "Service Above Self" through community service (in and out of school). Required essay determines "Students of the Month" and those students become eligible for the scholarship in the Spring.   $1,000   Return to Guidance ASAP (Final deadline for the year is April 13, 2018)
               
7 New York State PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend a SUNY college in the fall and major in Education (Rye Neck will choose 2 candidates from completed applications received).   $3,000 total   Must be in Guidance by December 8, 2017
               
8 Burger King Scholars Program  

Seniors planning to attend college (2 or 4 year) in the fall.  Criteria will include GPA (2.5 or better), community service, extracurricular activities and work experience (for some awards).  Apply at:  https://www.scholarsapply.org/burgerkingscholars/

9 AXA Achievement Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college (2 or 4 year) in the fall.  Must demonstrate ambition and self-drive in school, community or workplace.  Apply at:  https://www.scholarsapply.org/axa-achievement/  

$10,000 (52 state winners)

$15,000 (10 national winners)

  December 15, 2017 (but only first 10,000 applications will be accepted)
               
10 ACT Student Champion Award    Seniors who are planning to attend college in the fall and have overcome challenges. Must have taken the ACT and have a composite score of 22 on a single test.  Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first generation college students.  Apply at:  https://act.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4JIQsv4m3MbUlzn    $500   December 31, 2017
               
11 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall with a GPA of 3.0 who have financial need.  Must demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship at school and in the community.  Apply at:  www.reaganfoundation.org/education/scholarship-programs/ge-reagan-foundation-scholarship-program/   $10,000 awards (and renewal for up to 3 years for a total of $40,000).  Twenty awards given.   January 4, 2018
               
12 APIASF Scholarship Program    Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who are of Asian or Pacific Islander ethnicity.  There are several scholarships offered in this program and each may have different eligibility requirements.  Apply at:  http://www.apiasf.org/scholarship_apiasf.html   Varies from $2,500-$20,000   January 11, 2018
               
13 National Honor Society Scholarships   Seniors who are members of the National Honor Society and plan to attend college in the fall.  Students must be nominated by the NHS Chapter Advisor.  Please see Mrs. Slattery ASAP for nominations.  For more information, see: www.nhs.us/students/the-nhs-scholarship   Varies from $2,850 - $22,650 (500 awards)   January 30, 2018
