The following scholarships are currently available for consideration by Rye Neck High School students.  See below for more information about each of them or see the Scholarship Bulletin Board outside the Counseling Services Department offices.  Please see Mrs. Kane in the Counseling Services Department for applications or if you have any questions.

4 Harrison Mamaroneck Rotary Club Student of the Year Scholarship   Seniors who live in the Rye Neck School District (and Harrison) who exemplify the Rotary International motto "Service Above Self" through community service (in and out of school). Required essay determines "Students of the Month" and those students become eligible for the scholarship in the Spring.   $1,000   Return to Guidance ASAP (Final deadline for the year is April 13, 2018)
               
22 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship   For African-American female seniors who are planning to attend college in the fall with at least a 3.0 GPA.  Factors that will be considered are leadership, community service, academic achievement and financial need.   Varies   Return completed application to Guidance by February 16, 2018
               
23 New York Water Environment Assoc. (NYWEA)  

Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who are interested in Environmental Studies and:

1) are children of NYWEA Members; OR

2) will be enrolled in a college where there is a NYWEA Student Chapter; OR

3) will be enrolled in an environmentally related program in college.

24 P.E.O. Chapter AJ Scholarship (in Memory of Jean Bruce)   Local female seniors planning to attend college in the fall who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities and community service. Must have GPA of 3.0 or better.   VARIES - it was $2,000 in 2017   Return to Guidance by February 16, 2018
               
25 New York State Education Department Scholarships for Academic Excellence (SAE) - 4 Awards   The criteria to select winners will be the highest weighted average of scores on Regents exams.  Students must also attend a college or university in New York State in the fall.  The Rye Neck Guidance Department will do the calculations and contact eligible students in February, 2018.

26 AFA Teens for Alzheimer's Awareness College Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall whose lives have been affectd by Alzheimer's disease (from personal experience in their own family/friends/neighbors or involvement in community service).  Apply online at: https://alzfdn.org/young-leaders-of-afa/afa-teens/   Many awards ranging from $1,000 - $5,000    February 15, 2018
               
27  Westchester Pulaski Association Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who are of Polish descent (ore or more parents or grandparents).  Award decision will also be based on academics, community service, heritage recognition and financial need.    $500 (several awards)   Must be in Guidance by March 9, 2018
               
28 USTA SERVES College Scholarship Program   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who have participated in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) or other organized youth tennis programs.  Must demonstrate academic achievement and have financial need.  Apply online at:  www.ustafoundation.com/grants_and_scholarships/   Varies - multiple scholarships available   February 26, 2018
               
29 National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) Scholarships    Seniors who are members of NIAF or have a parent or guardian who is a member.  Must be planning to attend college in the fall with at least a 3.5 GPA and have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy.  Apply online at: http://www.niaf.org/programs/scholarships-overview/   Varies from $2,500 - $12,000   Must be in Guidance by February 26, 2018
               
30 Zonta Club of Westchester Young Women in Public Affairs Award   Female High School students ages 16-19 who are active volunteers in their community, have experience in local or student government and advocate advancing the status of women worldwide.  Apply online at:  https://www.zonta.org/Global-Impact/Education/Young-Women-in-Public-Affairs-Award   Varies from $1,000 - $4,000    In Guidance Department by March 1, 2018
               
32 Fireman's Association of the State of New York (FASNY) Gerard J. Buckenmeyer Volunteer Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college (2 or 4 year) in the fall who are (or their parent is) member of FASNY. Must be a junior firefighter, Explorer Scout or an EMS volunteer.   $1,500 (25 awards)

33 Thomas DeLitto & Sons Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall (2 or 4 year) whose parent or parents are in a trade or service occupation.  Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic and a well-rounded high school experience.   Varies (Usually multiple awards - up to $5,000)   Must be in Guidance by March 9, 2018
               
34 Rye Neck Student Aid Fund Scholarships   Rye Neck High School seniors planning to attend college (2 or 4 year) in the fall who can show financial need.  Multiple awards offered.   Varies   March 2, 2018
               
35 Enrico Fermi Educational Fund Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who are of traceable Italian heritage.  Criteria will include scholastics, leadership, community service and financial need.   $5,000 (2 awards)   Must be in Guidance by March 9, 2018
               
36 New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR) Scholarships (2)

Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who are either:

1) Cristin Bambino Scholarship for Special Ed. students who have worked through their challenges and will be going on to college; OR

2) Paul Jensen Scholarship for students who excel in design and wish to study design in college.

37 The Joseph Goncalves Student Humanitarian Scholarships (from NYSIR)   Seniors planning to attend college in New York State.  Should be able to demonstrate involvement with a cause or organization that promotes social justice, equal opportunity or relief of human suffering.   $5,000 (1), $3,000 (1)   Must be in Guidance by March 26, 2018
               
38 Tony Schembri Memorial Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall.  Theme of the required essay should center on the ideas you have formed about the American soldier/military veteran and why their efforts and sacrifices are so important.   $500   Must be in Guidance by March 28, 2018
               
39 American Legion Post #90 Scholarship   Seniors planning to attend college in the fall who have a parent or grandparent who is/was a veteran.  Applicants must show their relation to Veteran and have documentation of veteran status (Form DD-214 or equivalent).   $1,000    Return to Guidance by March 26, 2018
               
40 Vietnam Veterans of America Scholarships (6)   For seniors planning to attend college (2 or 4 year) in the fall who are children/grandchildren of veterans who served during any war or peacetime.   $700 (6 awards)   Must be returned to Guidance by March 22, 2018
               
41 Kiwanis Club of Mamaroneck   Rye Neck Seniors planning to attend college in the Fall.  Criteria includes: financial need, character, aptitude and academics.   $500   Return to Guidance by March 29, 2018
               
42 Mamaroneck Knighgts of Columbus Scholarship   Rye Neck Seniors planning to attend college in the Fall. Academic performance, community involvement and financial need will be determining factors.   $500   Return to Guidance by April 9, 2018
